History
Growing up in different parts of the world, God prepared both Gampon and Mirjam for service to God in South East Asia. They met in 1993 when Gampon had just planted City Gate Church in the north of Thailand. Mirjam had recently completed a tour of duty working as a nurse in refugee camps on the Cambodian border. She had a strong long term call to missions.They were married in 1994. They have both drawn closer, meeting challenges and reaping abundant rewards in their service to God.They are blessed with three delightful children, Hannah, David, and Jonathan.
Our Vision:
We want to see the Thai church reach out into missions to nearby countries and to see the different cultures in Thailand celebrating God in unity.
Gampon's Resume
- Born in Christian family (his father was 60 when he accepted Christ)
Age 19 - Gampon accepted Christ
1982- 1986 Bible school - Full Gospel Bible Seminary in Surat Thani (Swedish Mission)
1986 - Assistant Pastor at Good News Church, with Senior Pastor Tong Dee
1987 - 1990 YWAM (appointed Director of DTS for 1 year 89-90)
1990 English Study in England: 6 months at Abbey School of Mission; 6 months at South Hall Baptist School
1991 Moorelands Bible College
1992 Return to Thailand
1993 Church Plant in Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiang Mai City Church
1995 Started Gospel for Asia Leadership Training School (lead for 3 years, while still pastoring church)
1998 - 1999 City Gate Church, Chiang Mai
1999 Principles of Redeeming Cultures School in Tampa, Fl
1999-Present, City Gate Church, Chiang Mai
